In this section we would like to address in more detail what could be blocking your manifestations from becoming reality. Remember though that you do not have to be "perfect" to manifest successfully, it’s unlikely there’s anybody free of blocks. Nevertheless it is crucial to identify your most important blocks and work on them because subconscious blockages, like limiting beliefs or a negative mindset, can definitely keep you from your big dreams. Here are some main areas of your life you may be experiencing blocks in - this isn’t just on an energetic or emotional level, but some ideas about how to remove some blocks from your physical world too.
Mindset: there are two main mindsets we can access, the fixed mindset is the belief: “I was born that way, I can’t change,” and the growth mindset is the belief that you can learn, grow, and change. Depending on how strongly one or the other is nurtured and accessed throughout your life, you will have it easier or harder when it comes to manifestion and how you move through life in general. When you hear your inner voice telling you that you can’t do something, answer with a growth mindset and tell yourself that you can learn through the experience of trying. And every time you do this you will train your growth mindset muscle a bit more, and it will eventually become stronger.
Limiting beliefs: each of us has a variety of different beliefs. These are mostly planted by our caregivers, teachers, and adults we trusted as child - and these beliefs may have been added to and validated through the years. Unfortunately they are not always positive, and often these limiting beliefs prevent us from being our true selves or living a life we are happiest and most aligned with. Even more so-called positive beliefs can be limiting if they do not promote open-mindedness and growth, or have an emphasis on things like perfection or "being the best."
Limiting beliefs are actually a protective mechanism of our subconscious mind, which may have been an important part of safety as a child if we were needing to protect ourselves from (perceived) unsafe situations. But unfortunately these beliefs about ourselves, as well as other people and the world around us, can hold us back as we grow up. We learn to prefer to stay where we feel safe, in our comfort zone. The problem with our beliefs is that as soon as they get embedded in our subconscious mind, they can then stay there and even become stronger depending where our lives take us. The first and most crucial step in overcoming your limiting beliefs is awareness, and then you have to prove to yourself that these beliefs are wrong. This can be daunting to start undoing, but it doesn't have to be as difficult as you might think. Take time to notice small things such as proving to yourself you can try something new or celebrating small achievements, and you will start stepping into your power.
Self-image: these limiting beliefs also strongly influence our self-image. The self-image is on the one hand what we see when we look in the mirror, but also how we perceive our possibilities and worth. What we believe, what is possible for us, and where our limits lie. It is quite obvious that if you believe that you can achieve something, you have a much better chance of achieving it than if you don’t believe it at all. If your beliefs limit your self-image so much that you don’t even see the possibility that you can make your dream come true, it will be difficult to manifest that goal. It is important that you first work on your own self-perception and begin to see yourself with different eyes. Being in love with yourself is not negative - you can embrace it as being an important step to your manifesting success.
Speaking of self-image, there is a lot to unpack and unlearn in regards to people's ideas of beauty and the value that is placed upon physical "attractiveness." You can find a separate post about this in the forum.
Body & health: attempting healthier habits for yourself is a good way to affirm your self-worth, and shake up limiting energy surrounding your value. It is very important that you take care of your health whilst also giving yourself what you need, and want, on a regular basis. You may underestimate how much impact this can have on how you feel but taking care of even just small daily routines that are better health choices which take care of your body, can create a powerful energy. Toxins in the body may affect you in so many ways such as processed and sugary foods, an excess in alcohol or unfiltered water - so addressing these in your physical life can really help this manifestation journey. Also self-care in a physical sense, such as getting a massage or a manicure, whilst remembering that it’s not really about whether you feel prettier with your nails nicely painted but what you radiate. It says "I matter, I have high self- esteem, I have the financial means for this appointment."
Environment: decluttering and cleansing to make more space for positive abundance can be an excellent step in using your physical world to support manifestation. To have more "stuff" doesn't make you more abundant, and this is a prime example of where many get it wrong. Not only can it create more debt, dissatisfaction, comparison and stress, but it fills your energy with junk and therefore prevents more from coming in. You must make room, and assert that you have plenty BECAUSE you can sell or give away things that are no longer what you want. If it is in storage for a long time, and has no sentimental value, you likely do not need it! Trust us when we say it will take a huge load off your shoulders when you have less clutter in your environment, and less to think about. It also means you have more time to pursue hobbies, study, opportunities, or anything else that pushes you towards your manifestation.
When there is chaos in the home, often there is chaos in the head. This shows how important our environment is, and how strongly it can impact our well-being. In addition if you have a beautiful and well-kept environment, this is a signal to the Universe that this is the "world" you are attracting - that you know you want and deserve. Create an environment in which you feel comfortable and where you can work well, and you are declaring to the Universe that you are ready for the next big step. See our additional post on home manifestation boards for more details on this.
Relationships: there are relationships that we choose for ourselves - romantic relationships or friendships - or those at least to some extent - our colleagues, boss or classmates. Other relationships we cannot technically choose to exist, such as our family, but no matter what kind of relationship it is we do have some control over whether we want to accept, change, or give up a relationship as it is. This is, as with all your potential abundance blocks, a conscious decision that you can make yourself. If a relationship consistently does not give you good feelings at least the majority of the time, it is probably not right for you. Remember it is nobody’s job to make you happy - only you can do that. However there are people you'll notice that they are not good for you, and you will then realise that you have to adapt far too much to change this state. These are exactly the relationships from which you may want to distance yourself from, as they will most likely distort your vibration, not support your dreams and make you question your worth. This not only frees up your energy and makes room for newness but if it is an unhealthy attachment you are also asserting that you expect much more, that you are not going to be treated poorly anymore.
This is entirely personal, and no it is not an easy decision to make to reduce the time you spend around someone, or even remove them completely. It will likely have an impact on other areas of your life too, especially if that person is connected to something like your job. But this is why so many people are stuck. Don't get us wrong relationships can improve with loving honesty, a willingness to change, and a mindset that is fair to all involved. On the other hand sometimes someone is just not right for us, or we can "grow out of" our need to have them in our lives. And as difficult as it can be, sometimes a hard decision has to be made for you to feel good about yourself and so that you can cultivate much healthier and loving connections. Remember that you can also be on the receiving end of this, so try to have understanding if this happens to you.
I struggle with limiting beliefs constantly, I drive myself mad. Just when I think I am on the right path and have gotten past them and/or properly working through them, boom, they hit me again. I notice I get most triggered or stirred up on a full moon. I have to figure out how to make the practices I intstill stick for more than just a moment. Always a work in progress of course, but when it limits or hinders the opportunity for manifestation, it is quite frustrating.
Much food for thought here. Not for the first time am I questioning some of my life decisions and finding fear of the unknown and familiarity of what has always been 2 huge sticking points to my manifestation goals - and it is also raising other less comfortable questions too …
