Affirmations are an excellent way to shift vibration and use your words as a power. You can listen to them, repeat them, or use them as a script to read from every day. A great tip for specific and personal affirmations is to dig into what limiting beliefs are standing in the way of your manifestation. Once you pinpoint the biggest limiting belief, then you simply come up with a positive statement that is the opposite of it. For example, if your biggest limiting belief is that “making money is hard.” Then make your affirmation “making money is easy.”
Your affirmation work is to create your desires, so they should feel like a stretch but should still be believable for where you are now. That’s why it is recommended to keeping it as simple as possible and not get too specific with it. It’s okay if it’s a bit more general because it eliminates resistance. For example with, “my income is constantly increasing” it doesn’t include a specific income number, force anything or create any resistance from you - it simply asks that there is an increase.
When it comes to affirmations, it’s all about repetition. In order for it to sink into your subconscious mind, you have to listen and/or repeat it over and over again. You can repeat them whilst showering, brushing your teeth, washing dishes, folding clothes, eating breakfast or even when sleeping. However if you are listening to them rather than repeating them out loud it is recommended to listen just before you head off to sleep, as this is when your subconscious is more likely to absorb them.
Another key thing to do to make an affirmation work for you is to really tap into the emotion behind it. If repeating them, it is good to put your hand over the heart when saying it and just spending a few seconds breathing into it - feel the vibration of those powerful words wash over you.
Another one of the favourite affirmations rituals is to write it out over and over again. The exact number doesn’t really matter, although there is something called the 369 method which you can find attached below. This is just another way to help your subconscious mind take it in. Again it’s all about repetition and consistency.
